After being completely revised and remolded in 2007, this track became the permanent fixture for the MotoGP calendar. In 2012, the track was renamed to commemorate Marco Simocelli, a local motorcycle racer who died in 2011. This track is widely known for its twists and turns and difficulty. Not to mention the passionate fans who come out every year to see their favorite riders race.
